[00:00:15] And welcome back to the Kid Life podcast. It has been two weeks since our last episode. Oh, by the way, I'm your host, Samir. So, as I was saying, it has been two weeks since our last episode, but I'm back. You know, I gotta gather up some stuff to talk about, you know, get all the right things. [00:00:34] Anyways, so we're gonna get started by. First of all, I'm gonna give a shout out to my siblings, Niara, Kayla, Edison, Kaden and Braylon. I did not say their names in the last one, which now makes a lot more sense to me. I'm not gonna lie. I can act very dumb sometimes. And I. Mostly because I'm a kid, so I know a lot of people understand that. [00:00:59] Anyways, so I just. So first of all, I just recently had a basketball tournament. [00:01:09] And also, by the way, before I continue, so the segments that I was doing before, I was getting very mixed up. I'm not gonna lie, I was getting very mixed up. So if it didn't make sense to you, it's because I wasn't thinking. If it didn't make sense to you. If you're wondering, why is he all over the place of this stuff and things like that. Yeah, I just. It didn't make sense to me either afterwards, so. But, yeah, I'm working on that. [00:01:37] But anyway, so, like I was saying, yes, I recently had a basketball tournament this weekend. No, well, the weekend that just passed, which y'all, I'm not gonna lie, I'm glad it's already Wednesday because I'm gonna need it to be Friday in a hot minute, cuz. [00:01:57] Sheesh. I. It's been a week. [00:02:01] And I know it's only been three days, but Jesus, it's been a week anyways, but, yeah, so, unfortunately, we did lose the tournament. But that's okay, though. It was only five of us. Some of our other players did not show. So we play three games. We played two, lost the first two extremely badly. And then the third one, we almost won it. We lost by four points. I'm not gonna tell you how much we lost by another game because that's just embarrassing. [00:02:37] But anyway, so we did almost win. If we had some subs, we wouldn't have gotten as tired and we probably would have won. But that's okay, though. I'm very proud of myself. Cause knowing that I could have won it with some subs, but that's it. Knowing that I would have won it, I'm very proud of myself. [00:03:00] And again, those teams have more players than us. Like literally in our first two games, we faced two teams. Even in the third game there were players that looked like they were in the 8th grade. Um, but it's still okay though. We. We did our best, um, for our first tournament because we're just now getting together. We have some kids that aren't as experienced as others and some that are like me. I'm one of the more experienced ones. And we have like one or two people that's like a lot less experienced. [00:03:33] But, um. Yeah, like I said, that's okay. Um. Cause we're doing pretty good right now. We just had practice yesterday and we did well. We worked on our defense and offense. Specifically offense. Because our offense was truly the problem. [00:03:50] Our defense was a little bit of something to worry about, but it wasn't as bad as our offense. [00:03:56] But either way, yeah, we're doing pretty good. [00:04:05] But. [00:04:07] Oh my God, I lost my words. [00:04:10] Anyways, yeah, so. And I'm going back to school updates. I know I haven't done that in a while cuz I've been. Adam. I've been out of my mind with this show lately. But anyways, updates on school. [00:04:30] School is, well, 22 days from being out. Technically 30 because the actual day we get out is one month from now. So 30 days to be exact. Or at least that's how much I counted. Um, but that takes away weekends. So we only have 22 school days left until we get out, which, thank the lord, because I cannot wait for summer. I have so much planned. Um, and we will talk about that more before the school year ends because unfortunately, I do not know if I will be able to make any more episodes over the summer because, you know, I'm gonna be all over the place. Tournaments, vacations. You know, I'm just gonna be all over the place, really. So I'm not. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to make any episodes during this summer. It's just a little warning. [00:05:28] Um, but anyways, on another note, we are talking about school. Um, so today at school, like a lot of the people, specifically the girls, they like to ask me questions. I don't like to get into the details about it because it's very confusing. But anyways, um, but it's. They. They're just joking, I guess. Like, we have this game on our computers that we play sometimes and then it's like a game. It's called Smash carts is a game where you drive and you get different types of weapons. It's basically a cartoon game. And you kill other people with it. And you get points after you kill them. And so they get mad when I kill them because I always win. I'm very good at it. People are mad because I'm good at it. [00:06:15] And the other kids, specifically the boys, they are accepting me a little bit more because they would never let me play football or basketball with them because they always. I suck. Well, I'm gonna say this. I'd say about two of them kids would ever go big with any sport. [00:06:36] Two or three of those kids, I think, would go big with those sports. The others shoe if they even try that, they're gonna get cut from the team for doing something they shouldn't have done. They won't even get past the tryout or number three. They won't, they won't, um, their grades are gonna affect them playing. [00:06:58] Cuz let's just say their. Their grades are rough. I mean, they're kind of passing, but they're rough. But yeah, they. They were letting me play football until they got football taken because they decide they want to tackle people. [00:07:13] Um, they're just dumb that way. So now every time I go outside, I see somebody playing basketball with a soccer ball. Like, I remember one time, the first time our teachers took football away, they started playing. Playing with an imaginary football. [00:07:27] Like, you know how your kids have imaginary friends? And if you are kid and you're listening to this, you know how you have imaginary friends or if you used to? Well, it's like that they were playing with an actual imaginary football. It was so weird and desperate. [00:07:48] Like, I mean, I don't. I'll move around my little imaginary basketball from time to time, but that's just going through the motions to get myself ready for. If I'm going to a practice, a workout, or if I have a game that's just. I'm just going through the motion of what I'm gonna do and stuff like that. That's just emotion. They were literally playing football with an imaginary. Excuse me. With an actual imaginary football. Like, how does that even work? You catch everything. How do you determine whether you miss or if you catch it? Oh, y'all, I got hiccups like that. It make. It makes no sense to me. Like, come on now. It. That's just. That's just being really, really desperate. I don't. I don't. I don't understand it. I would never be dumb enough to be that desperate to play something that I would get, that I will play with an imaginary whatever. Like, if I wanted to play a video game, I would never get an imaginary tv, an imaginary console, and an imaginary controller to play. [00:08:49] No, I'd wait till I can play. Or if I wanted to play basketball, I'd never play with imaginary basketball. Unless, as I said it, I'm going through the motions for what I'm gonna do for whatever I'm doing anyways. Um, but yeah, so that's kind of on the school note. I'm being more accepted into the school nowadays, but the fact that it's at the end of the year is what upsets me. [00:09:20] Cuz at the start of the year. Why country? I'll be nice at the start of the year. Like, at my old school, when I first went there, kids were so, so nice. Like, even at orientation, like, I. It might have been because I never met anybody at orientation because I was late, but still though, I feel like I had the right to get a little bit of kindness from them. Like, I never wanted to move that school in the first place and I still don't want to stay. I honestly, I like the. I'm starting to like the people a little bit more there. Specifically my teach on my teacher, Miss Lee. [00:09:57] But I really miss my old school, I'm not gonna lie. Plus. [00:10:02] Mmm, the food was better. [00:10:05] My school just won Palmetto's finest. But, um, I'd say if they, like, put some cameras or hid somewhere, like, for the day and we're actually in these classes and found out what some of these kids did, I don't. I honestly don't know if we would have won. Because as I've said before, I don't know if I mentioned this or not. I can't remember remember, but, like, kids will bully you at that school. Like, I never actually had to deal with bullies at school. Like, when I was younger, I used to think that people that were. Some people that were talking to me were bullying me, but it wasn't actually true then. I'm a lot older, I realized that. But I've never actually had to deal with real life, actual bullies and a whole bunch of school fights. Like this year we had three school fights. Three. [00:10:56] One of them, a kid got punched in the jaw and I think he had to get stitches. [00:11:01] And that was like, last week or two weeks ago. No, wait. Yep, that was last week on Wednesday. [00:11:10] So that was oof. Oof Magoo. That was oof. [00:11:16] But, um, anyways, so that's kind of what's going on at school. [00:11:24] Oh, and we got sc ready testing coming up. If you're wondering what that is, it's our state testing. That really is the point. Like, mostly, like, 60% of the reason why we are learning all this stuff throughout the school year. It's getting us ready for Sc. Ready. So, yeah, like I said, 60%, 40, 40% is to get us through some more in life. [00:11:52] Because you need to know stuff. Like, you want to be a scientist, you got to know stuff. You want to be a chemist, which is kind of the same thing. Gotta know stuff. You wanna be an engineer, you gotta know stuff. You want to be an artist, you gotta know stuff. It's all that and more. [00:12:10] Um, but, yeah, so, moving on. [00:12:17] Um, let's see. [00:12:20] So in the past few days, I know, um, I've slightly mentioned, like, I remember the subject I used to do where I would be, like, the food of the week that I've had that I actually. That was my favorite. So I'm gonna do it for, like, the past two weeks because really, like, it's only been three days this week. And, like, I still haven't had my third meal for this week, my third dinner. So, like, Wednesday dinner, I still haven't had that yet. That is being cooked up right now as we speak. As I speak. Um, but so I think in the past two weeks. So I've definitely had some good things. I had tacos yesterday. [00:13:04] I think. [00:13:06] I think. [00:13:08] I don't know for sure. [00:13:11] I think I'm gonna have to go with my dad's homemade burger now. I'm only doing this because I really just had to mention it. Now. I went to my friend's house. I had some good food. Like, yesterday night, his mom had some rice and gravy and some chicken. That thing was so good. [00:13:28] It was. It was. It was just so good. I mean, like, yeah, I like other people's cooking, but my dad, I really like his cookie. So that's kind of why the homemade burger kind of one, because. [00:13:41] So it was like. So he bought a bacon cheddar burger from the store. So, like, it wasn't made yet. Not like, pre made, but it was like raw meat with cheddar blocks and bacon blocks inside, like, cheddar cubes and baking cubes, little mini ones inside the burger. Now, this is. My dad has done that two times. He made a cheddar bacon one twice, which is the one I'm talking about now. So twice. And then he made a jalapeno cheddar one one time. The jalapeno cheddar one was good, except it was kind of the jalapeno seeds that give it that weird, like texture, but it was still really good and my brother couldn't take it because my brother thinks he could take spicy stuff, but he can't. I mean, he can't take like the really spicy stuff that those youtubers get on YouTube and eat or some other people eat. Like, I've had a jalapeno. I know, know. If y'all remember, it was like my second or third episode, probably one of my most popular ones. The hollow. Ooh, I came from what it's called. Um. Why? I don't know why I came over what it's called cuz it's literally on my show. But um. [00:14:56] Yeah, it, uh. The jalapeno episode, um. Y'all remember that? That was one of my first ones and I think it was one of my most popular ones, but it. So, yeah, so I know y'all remember that. So that was the worst experience I had with Jalapeno, but otherwise I've had some. I've had them and they were good. Like a hat. So the jalapeno bird, that was good. Oh yeah, here's that. The episode's name was the bad Jalapeno experience. [00:15:39] That was my second episode after the getting to know me episode. [00:15:45] Oh, I recorded both of those episodes on the same day. [00:15:50] Yeah, that was. Guys, that was 2022 that I made the Thanksgiving break. I don't understand it. The jalapeno experience and the getting to know me. [00:16:05] The getting to know me was nine minutes long. But that makes sense because it's getting to know me episode. [00:16:10] But that was 2022, guys. So I've been recording for over a year now. I think I did an anniversary episode. [00:16:19] I might have. I probably did not. Unfortunately. I might not have done it. Um, but, um. It was an anniversary episode. [00:16:30] Uh, oh, no, I did not. I meant to record an anniversary episode for on October 27 because that was the day I first started recording. So I meant to have an episode then, but I did not record it. So, um. Yeah, definitely if we get to a two year anniversary, hopefully praying, um, it's possible, but hopefully if we do, I would definitely record an episode for my two year anniversary. For sure. [00:17:04] Um, so, yeah, it imagine. [00:17:11] Yeah, y'all, I just realized, thinking about how long I've been recording this show that I know it's not exactly relevant, but I'm gonna be twelve soon. I'm gonna be twelve in how many months? [00:17:25] I'm gonna be twelve in like less than eight months. Like seven months and some change because my birthday is December 20 and it's the 24 April. So less than seven, less than eight months. So seven months and some change. That is absolutely crazy. [00:17:48] Like all out, just whoa. I've always wanted, my whole life, I've always wanted to sit in the front seat. And now I'm going to get the chance to, when I turn twelve, hopefully, hopefully people let me sit in the front seat from then on. [00:18:04] Yeah, but um, yeah, so wait, I'm trying to think about what you're talking about, cuz how did I get there? Oh yeah, I was talking about my favorite, the favorite food of the past two weeks that I had. Okay, so anyways, um, but yeah, I was a bacon cheddar burger. I still don't, I'm trying to think for some reason how I got there to the whole birthday part, but never mind. Um, oh yeah, I remember now talking about the jalapeno. Um, anyways, so yeah, and then my dad put mushrooms on it. Like I said, dad, keep us a mushrooms on my burger. And he said, I haven't cooked, I didn't cook, I can't, I didn't cook mushrooms. And then he started cooking the mushrooms, I was like, okay. And they started, so he was cooking up the mushrooms and they look so good. [00:19:04] It was like, it was so good. [00:19:08] And um, um, so that, it was so good. [00:19:16] I can't even, um, describe how good it was. I'm sorry, I'm just stalling. Keep telling. But um, so we, I was stalling for some reason, I don't know why. So I, so we put, I asked them for mushrooms on it and then he put some onions on it and pickles and lettuce and. Oh boy. And some ketchup, man, he has some crickle cut fries. Them things was so good. [00:19:46] That reminds me, since we're, since I was talking about mushrooms, I remember he made this dinner one time where he made the sides. He made sides and it was like, it was roasted potatoes and roasted mushrooms. The roasted mushrooms had so much seasoning and they were so flavorful. It was honestly just crazy. Um. [00:20:08] Oh, my throat can drive tickets and water breaks. Uh, um, anyways, um, but yeah, it was um, yeah, that ro, those roasted mushrooms were the bomb. [00:20:21] Like, it honestly, um, see, if you ever tried, if you ever, if you have ever, if you would ever want to try my dad's cooking and you would try like, okay, let me get my words straight. I'm trying to figure out what I'm trying to say. If you would ever try my dad's cooking, you would see what I'm talking about like, that. I'm not over exaggerating. It's da bomb. It's good. My dad is like the take time into the cooking. The secret recipe stuff, that type of stuff. Cook like the one that would go on the Master chef or something. I keep telling that man he got to go on Master Chef. And I'm so serious cuz he's good. And he said he's been planning on doing that. I was supposed to go on Master Chef Junior, but this season, but I didn't go, unfortunately. I would have loved to miss school to go to master. Plus people would have seen me on tv. [00:21:16] Hopefully if I would have passed the qualifying round anyways, I probably would have been out, like, pretty quickly cuz I don't know how to cook a lot of things, but I know how to cook good bit of stuff. But I think I had to learn more before I go on Master Chef Junior. [00:21:34] And I. So I found out that when you compete on MasterChef Junior, you can't go back. Like, once you compete, you're not. You're not allowed back. And it's the same for Master Chef. [00:21:44] You can't go back. I feel like they should have a Master chef teen edition, so for, like, teenagers. So that when you turn it, when you become a teenager, you can go back. [00:21:54] And so, like, issue me MasterChef junior master chef, teen edition, masters, normal master chef, and then maybe a master chef. Old people, you never know. That could be. That could be a thing. Gordon Ramsay be court recording for master chefs. [00:22:17] Yeah, so, yeah, my dad's just really good cook. My mom was like, the. My mom is like, the quick cook. So she has this meal, is this thing that she cooks. So she'll cook spaghetti or something like that. She. She cooks this thing. It's called hamburger, rice and corn. Um, my grandma, my nana used to make it. She was also the quick cook, one of the quick cooks of the family. So you get hamburger meat. I know it sounds nasty, but it's honestly just really good. It's. It's bomb. It's. It's good. It's one of them. It's like. It's like fast food because made so quickly, but it just better and healthier, for sure. So get some white rice and some corn off the cob. I don't know exactly what it's called. People probably do know what it's called. Go to my Instagram and you can. [00:23:06] I'm a. I'mma post something saying, what's the real name of corn off the cob. And then you just comment and you tell me. Anyways, so she gets some of that and some white rice and she mixes it together with hamburger meat. And then she cooks it and it's so freaking good. And it's so easy to cook that you can make so much of it. Like she used to make a big bowl. I could have it for dinner, breakfast the next morning and then lunch if I wanted to. And then, oh, and you put some onions in there and whatever else you want in there and that thing be hidden. I even put a little bit of ketchup up on that thing because, you know, it's hamburger me. So I put that ketchup on there. I was like, let me try some ketchup up in here. And then you mix it up is so good. My dad tried making it one time. Let's just say my dad is not exactly the quick cook type cuz he. He didn't make it the same, which I was not expecting. Like right now he's trying to make it again. Except so we're having chicken legs and rice. So he's gonna make that, the chicken, right, the hamburger, rice and corn. That's what I call it. He's gonna make the hamburger, rice and corn. But he's using the mexican beef we used for taco night last night. He's gonna make it mexican, and it'll probably be better than the last time he tried to make hamburger, rice and corn. [00:24:29] It was good, but it wasn't. It couldn't. It couldn't touch my mom's. [00:24:34] And I can't believe I'm saying that something my mom cooked could not touch that. And my dad tried to make it, could not touch it. Like, so, like, you know, y'all probably remember when I told y'all that, um, for the past few years, my parents have been trying to get me to decide. Me specifically since I'm kind of the foodie child. Me and my sister Niara, we're the foodie children. So, um, my dad was trying to. My mom and dad were trying to decide my mom. If my mom knows one thing that she can. My mom admits that my dad is a better cook, but she says that her spaghetti is better than his. But my dad says his spaghetti is better. [00:25:14] So they've been trying to get me to the side. Now, I meant to tell. So I know I told you guys I was gonna make videos of them cooking spaghetti and I was gonna post it out and you guys were gonna vote on it. Unfortunately, I never did that. I've got to be more consistent with that stuff. When I tell you I'm gonna post when I tell you I'm gonna post up. So I'm definitely gonna do that for sure. Cuz tomorrow is spaghetti night with my dad. So I'm going to. [00:25:37] I'm going to post that and so I'm gonna post. I'm gonna post separate videos and, um, so it's gonna be. So I'm gonna send out my dad's first. Hopefully I can get my mom to cook some spaghetti this weekend when she comes down here to South Carolina. Hopefully I can get her to cook some. And then I'll record that too. [00:25:59] And I will post that and then I'll put votes in the comments and then you can vote on whether you want mom or dad, but you have to wait till both videos come out. Do not vote until both videos come out. But then again, you can change your well, can you change your vote? I can't remember if you can. If you can change your vote. If you decide you want to vote already, then you can change your vote if you want to choose my mom. [00:26:24] Um, but anyways, um, yeah, so also. So I'm gonna name. I'm gonna tell you a tv show that I have been watching. You probably all know this show, most of you. Um, so I probably. I don't think I've ever mentioned it on the. On the show. So it's called family reunion. You probably heard of it. It's like my tv show that I've been watching. Like, I've been binging it, like, I've watched it before. Like, I've been watching that show since 2019 and. But I keep binging it over and over again. And I'm also binging the flash, but I'm. It's been hard binging the Flash because I can't exactly watch it all the time. Um, but, um. Cuz honestly, I don't be, like, gonna watch that show at night. I'm not gonna lie. Some shows I just don't watch at night. Like, I know y'all feel me, you just don't want to watch some shows at night. [00:27:23] Um, but anyways, so, um, family reunion and the flash of the shows I've been mentioning now, the flash is gonna be hard to binge because it might take me till the end of the summer to finish it because it is literally nine seasons long and each episode is like 42 minutes or over that, so. And I'm only on season one and I'm on like episode six, so that's a it's a thing. [00:27:52] Um, but anyways, that's. That's all I got for you guys today. Um, if you guys want to see the spaghetti post, those will come out soon. And, um, I'm promising you that I will get those out to you. And. And besides that, I don't got anything else for you guys today. I hope you. I hope you enjoyed this episode and listen out for my next episode. Hopefully I'll post next week or in the next two weeks. [00:28:22] But anyways, it's been real. See you guys next time. Peace, Ma.
